maycausetheplanttoburnandcurbitsgrowth.
TheMonosemdryfertilizersystemispreciselymetered
byuseofanauger.Thestandardoutputisadjustable
from80-350lbs/acreandupto600lbs/acreusingahigh
outputauger.Anon-corrosiveplastichopperwithdrain
plughasacapacityoffrom2-row500lbsto12-row2900
lbswithsingle,doubleorripplesoutlethoppers.Aexible
knifeopeneroradoublediscopenerappliesfertilizerfrom
aminimumof2"tothesideoftheseedline.
AssemblyandAdjustment
Thesupports(1)ofthefertilizercanbeattachedattwo
differentwidthsonthehoppersandcanbeeasilyattached
toavailablespotsonthebar.Seediagramasshown
below.
Thedriveisnormallymountedinthecenterofthe
machine,ascloseaspossibletotheleftsideofthe
gearbox.Fornarrowinter-rowspacingthisdrivecanbe
placedontheoutsideofthetoolbarframe.Inthatcase,
anoptionalbearing(#4515)canbeused.
NOTE:Iftheconnectortubesbetweenthehoppers
aretoolong,theycanbecuttosize.

Theprimaryadjustmentissetbyusingthelowerdouble
sprocket.Thenaladjustmentismadebyusingone
ofthesprocketsoftheuppersprocketcluster.Outputs
canthusbeobtainedbetweenapproximately80to350
lbs/acre(80-350kg/ha).
Differentoutputscanbeobtainedbyreplacingthe
standardaugerpaintedblue,withaspecial(optional)high
outputaugerpaintedred.
Becauseofthelargevarietyoffertilizersanditsdensity
andirregularityofgranules,itisimpossibletofurnishan
exactsettingchart.
Tomakeaninitialsetting,asaguideonly,anoutputof80
lbs/acre,approximatelybetween1.2lbforeach334feet
(600-650gramsevery100meters)isobtainedwithmany
typesoffertilizersusingthesmalllowersprocketcluster
andthebiguppersprocketcluster.
