Threedifferentassembliesareavailableforthe
gearbox:
1.Standard,Centralassembly:Normalassemblyfor
planterswithanevennumberofrows(4,6,8…)and
inter-rowspacingof14"ormore.
2.EndPlateassembly:Forplanterswithanodd
numberofrows(5,7,9…)andinter-rowspacingof
morethan14".
3.Narrow,CentralAssembly:Forplanterswithrow
spacinglessthan14"whereendmountedisnot
possible.
SETTING:
Standard,CentralassemblyandOffsetassembly
Thestandardspacinggearbox(shownbelow)consistsof
achangeableupperclusterttedwith6sprockets(two
3-sprocketclusters)andalowerxed3-sprocketcluster.
Thisallowsfor16differentgearratios.Thefollowing
gearboxchartindicatesthedistancespossibleforeach
distributiondisc.Adecalplacedontheplanterwillprovide
thesameinformationforon-the-spotreference.

Tochangetheseedspacing,pushtheidlerlever,lockits
pawl(1)thenaligntothepropersprocketcombination
(2).Thesmalluppersprocketclusteristtedwithaset
bolt(3),whichshouldbetightenedtoavoidanysliding
ofthecluster.
Endmountedtransmission
Theendmountedtransmissionhastwointerchangeable
drivesprockets.Thelowerdrivinggear(9)andtheupper
drivengear(7).13gearcombinationsarepossible.
NOTE:Moresprocketcombinationsmaybeavailable
withcustomorders.PleaseconsultMonosem
oryourMonosemdealerincaseyouhave
suchspecialrequirements.
Tochangesowingdistance,rstselectthedesired
spacingfromthefollowinggearboxchart.Adecalplaced
ontheplanterwillprovidethesameinformationfor
on-the-spotreference.
Next,disengagethechainbypressingdownontheidler
lever(8).Usingtheindicatedsprocketsonthechart,
exchangethedriversprocket(A)anddrivensprocket(B)
toachievethedesiredgearratio.Makesurethedriver
anddrivensprocketsarewellalignedandthechainsits
inlinewiththeidlerroller.Oncethedesiredgearsarein
place,youmayreengagethetensionerhandle.
Theunuseddrivesprocketsmaybestoredonthe
sprocketstackontopofthetransmission.
