Configuring the Options
Figure 4.11 gives an overview of the Options Configuration menu.
You may configure the process variable display, decimal places, 50/60Hz filter selection, display
mode, and the run a display test from this menu.
To configure STA options, follow the steps below.
1. At the “CONFG OPTNS” screen, press SELECT.
2. “DSPLY MODE” appears. Press SELECT to enter the menu. Choose between “PV”,
“AOUT” and “PV + AOUT” by using the UP or DOWN buttons. Press SELECT.
3. Next, the “SET DPS” display appears. Press SELECT. Scroll through the available
choices by using the UP or DOWN buttons and press SELECT once you have made your
selection.
4. “SET FILTR” appears; press SELECT. Here, you must select the proper line frequency of
your AC source–50Hz or 60Hz; press SELECT.
5 “START DELAY” appears; press SELECT. Here the desired startup delay can be entered
by using the UP or DOWN buttons. This adds a delay after the STA has been initialized
to allow the process input to stabilize. During initialization and delay all outputs are held
in their failsafe mode. When the desired delay in seconds is displayed, press SELECT.
START DELAY default is 0 seconds.
Note: For STA units with firmware versions 1.5 and earlier, the start up delay is not configurable
and is set to 0.
6. “DSPLY TEST” appears; press SELECT. Display test is executed and iterates through
five different character patterns (this ensures all LCD segments function properly).
7. “FCTRY CONFG” appears. Press SELECT Using the UP or DOWN buttons choose
between “RESET NO?” and “RESET YES?”; press SELECT.
Note: When resetting unit to factory default, refer to the Quick Set-Up Guide on Pg. 5 for default
values.
8. “EXIT OPTNS” appears. Press SELECT. Proceed to the “CONFG PASWD” menu.
