SAFETY OPERATION
Chipping Wood
Feeding Brush into the Chipper
When you are about to feed brush into the chipper, position the throttle at full RPM’s as discussed on the previous page.
NOTE: At least two trained operators must be on the work site at all times. The work site is an area where the operators can see, hear, and react
to a emergency in a few seconds.
To Feed the brush:
1 Bring logs up onto the end of the deck. The butt should be at the end of the deck and the top should be in line with the feed wheel.
2 Begin by feeding the butt of the tree into the infeed.
NOTE: Never force wood into the chipper. This will cause heat and excessive wear.
3 During the feeding process, monitor the gauges, standing at the side of the machine.
4 Check the discharge chute and make sure the wood chips are projecting at the correct angle. If necessary adjust the discharge chute.
NOTE: It is the operators responsibility to keep all bystanders away from the work site.
Under no circumstance shall you hand feed this machine.
