Shut-down
DANGER
A rotating chipper drum may cause entanglement, crush or
mutilation of body parts resulting in serious injury or death.
Always wait for the chipper drum to completely stop after
shutting the machine OFF and before opening the chipper
hood.
Foreign material such as stones, wire or metal will cause
blade failure causing serious injury.
NOTE
To keep the machine free of vandalism, always lock and
secure the machine using the lockout procedure.
Machine Shut-down
1� Place the throttle switch to the throttle down mode.
2� When the engine has reached an idle, disengage the clutch.
3� Turn the ignition off.
4� Fires can start after engine shut-down therefore, the operator should
watch and check the equipment for 15-20 minutes after shut-down to ensure the machine is completely cooled.
