The following table describes the icons:
No. Icon Description
1. The number of bars (0–3) shown indi-
cates the charge remaining in the bat-
tery.
2. Scan is enabled.
3. VOX/iVOX is enabled. During activa-
tion, without VOX accessories, the ra-
dio is in iVOX mode, you can speak to
the microphone without pressing PTT.
When used together with VOX acces-
sories, you can speak to accessories
microphone without holding PTT from
radio or accessories.
4. Keypad and Side buttons are locked.
5. The radio receives at least an unread
text message.

6.i. The radio is communicating in a Group
Call.
6.ii. The radio is communicating in a Pri-
vate Call.
7. This is Received Signal Strength Indi-
cator. The number of bars (0–3) shown
indicates the receiving signal strength.
8. This indicates the current channel in-
dex.
9. The radio is currently in programming
mode.
10.i. The current channel is in Analog mode.
10.ii. The current channel is in Digital mode.
11. This indicates the current channel fre-
quency.
12. This indicats the current CTCSS/DPL
code.
