Upper discharge chute pitch control cables and lever
To remove/replace the cables and lever:
1. Remove the nut and carriage bolt that holds the
control lever housing to the handle bar using a 1/2”
wrench.
See Figure 4.31.
NOTE: Once the nut and bolt are removed, the two
housing halves will separate.
2. Separate the housing halves.
3. Remove the spacer
4. Lift the control lever out of the housing.
5. Disconnect the control cables from the control lever.
NOTE: Note or mark where each cable was
attached to the lever. If the cables are
reversed when re-assembled, the controls
will not work properly.
6. Disconnect the control cables from the upper dis-
charge chute by following the procedures described
in the upper discharge chute (remote controlled)
section of this chapter.
