7.1.2 Engine – Barring with starting system
DANGER
Unguarded rotating and moving engine components.
Risk of serious injury – danger to life!
Before barring or starting the engine, ensure that nobody is in the danger zone.
After working on the engine, check that all protective devices have been reinstalled and all tools
removed from the engine.
Engine – Barring with starting system
1. Release latch of connector X4.
2. Remove connector from engine governor.
3. Bar engine in unloaded condition: Press START button.
4. Let the crankshaft rotate until oil pressure is indicated.
5. Engine start is automatically interrupted when specified starting period has passed. If necessary, re-
start the engine after approx. 20 seconds.
6. Connect connector X4 to engine governor and latch in position.
