5.2 General
The mode switch on the control panel has two operating positions:

AUTO (Automatic position): T he dehumidifier’s fans, rot or and reactivation h eater are activated
only when the humidity exceeds the desired value (the set-point). If continual process air operation is
selected in the control system display, the process air fan continues to run even after the unit has s topped
dehumidifying.
■
MAN (M ax effect position): The dehumidifier’s fans, rotor and r eactivation heater operate continuously
at full capacity.
Remote sta rt/stop
If remote start/stop is connected, the mode switch must be set to position AUTO in order to run the
dehumidifier.
External control
If the d ehumidifier is regula ted via an externa l signal, the fans and drive motor start wh e n the "remote s ta rt"
switch is closed, reg ardless of the present humidity. In order to operate the dehumidifier, the external signal
must be >1 V. The reactivation heater is regulated via the input signal.
On delivery the dehumidifier is se t to resta rt automatically aft er a power cut.
5.3 Safety
WARNING!
Themainpowerswitch shouldonlybeusedto stop thedehumidifierinan emergency. Since thereactivationfan
willalsostop,considerableheatcanbuildup in thereactivationheater,causing itshightemperatureprotector to
trip,whichcancausedamage tocomponentscloseto theheater.
5.4 Quickstop
Under normal working conditions, the mode switch is used to stop and star t the unit (see Figure 5.1 ). In case
of an emergency, use the main power switch on the dehumidifier. An externally placed immediate stop
button is available a s option.
