6.2 R egularserviceandmaintenance
Munters dehumidiers are designed to run reliably in continuous operation for long periods. Regular
service and maintenance is required to ensure that the dehumidier is operating as efcient and economical
as possible.
Service and maintenance interval lengths are primarily determ ined by operating conditions and the
environment in which the unit is installed. For exam ple, if the process air contains a lot of dust, preventative
maintenance should be carried out at shor ter intervals. The same also applies if the dehumidier works
intensively.
The service levels for a standard service and maintenance progr amme are described in s e ction
6.3, Service options.
Thedehumidier's control system is equipped with a service indicator. During installation and
commissioning, an estimate should be made of a suitable number of operating hours until the next ser vice,
or the date for the next service. This value is programmed by Munters personnel at initial start-up of the unit.
