Chapter 2: Hardware Installation
This section explains how to perform an out-of-box installation of the NCRPX10/PX15
POS (7746) hardware and its respective peripheral devices.
Installation Restrictions
Before installing the NCRPX10/PX15 POS (7746), read and follow the guidelines in the
NCRPX10/PX15 POS (7746))Site Preparation Guide (BCC-0000-5288) and the NCR
Workstation and Peripheral AC Wiring Guide (BST0-2115-53).
• Install the NCRPX10/PX15 POS (7746) near an electrical outlet that is easily
accessible. Use the power cord as a power disconnect device.
• Do not permit any object to rest on the power cord. Do not locate the
NCRPX10/PX15 POS (7746) where the power cord can be walked on.
Caution: Use a grounding strap or touch a grounded metal object to discharge any
static electricity from your body before servicing the NCRPX10/PX15 POS (7746)
terminal.
