Introduction
The 2x20 Customer Display consists of a Vacuum Florescent Display (VFD) with two
rows of twenty 5x8 dot matrix characters, an RS-232 serial interface, driver circuitry, DC
to DC/AC converter, and a character generator.

Serial Communication Interface
The display receives commands and data from the host using an RS 232 serial interface,
