Diagnosing array problems
Diagnostic tools
To troubleshoot array problems and generate feedback about arrays, use the following diagnostic tools:
RAID Report Service
This service reports array events to the OS event log. You can get the service from the Starter Pack or
the NEC Corporate Website (http://www.nec.com/). For more this utility, see “RAID Report Service”.
POST messages
Array controllers produce diagnostic error messages (POST messages) at reboot. Many POST messages
suggest corrective actions.
Smart Storage Administrator
This utility uses it through EXPRESSBUILDER. Also you can get it from Starter Pack or NEC Corporate
Website (http://www.nec.com/). For more information about SSA, see "About SSA".
