RAID Report Service
About the service
RAID Report Service notifies OS log (Windows: Event Log, Linux: syslog) of the event which occurred to RAID
Controllers and attached devices in Windows and Linux.
This utility alerts influential events to NEC ESMPRO Manager by event monitoring system of NEC ESMPRO
ServerAgentService. Install RAID Report Service, NEC ESMPRO ServerAgentService and set SNMP Service to
send traps, then NEC ESMPRO ServerAgentService automatically alerts events of RAID system reported by
RAID Report Service.
IMPORTANT: Use the RAID Report service, following setting:
iLO Web: Encryption -> Security Settings -> Production. (HighSecurity or FIPS, RAID Report
Service can’t be used.)
For more information about NEC ESMPRO Manager and NEC ESMPRO ServerAgentService,
see document of each software.
About the alert which notify to NEC ESMPRO Manager, see RAID Report Service notice
message.
Installing the service
IMPORTANT: Before install RAID Report Service, you have to install NEC ESMPRO
ServerAgentService and SSA CLI. If confirm the installation procedure, see NEC ESMPRO
ServerAgentService Installation Guide and "Install SSA".
IMPORTANT: When RAID Report Service install, you should use the latest install module. See
NEC Corporate Website (http://www.nec.com/) and confirm whether the latest module is
released. If NEC Corporate Website doesn’t release a module, the latest module is in the Starter
Pack.
IMPORTANT: When RAID Report Service version update, install after uninstall old module.

mount Starter Pack and see this file:
/software/{revision}/{OS}/raidsrv/ExUpInfo.xml
<version>X.XX Rev.xxxx</version>
{revision} depends on the Starter Pack version.
