Connect the Ethernet cable from the broadband modem to the FWG114P Internet port (A).

Connect the Ethernet cable that came with the router from a Local port on the router (B) to
your computer.

Note: The FWG114P incorporates Auto Uplink
TM
technology. Each LOCAL Ethernet port
will automatically sense if the cable should have a normal connection or an uplink
connection. This feature eliminates the need to worry about crossover cables because Auto
Uplink will make the right connection for either type of cable.
e. Now, turn on your computer. If software usually logs you in to your Internet connection,
do not run that software or cancel it if it starts automatically.
