MAIN BROOM HEIGHT CHECK AND ADJUSTMENT
N O T E
Brooms with harder or softer bristles are available.
This procedure is applicable to all types of brooms.
1. Check the main room height as shown elow:
• D r i ve t h e m a c h i n e o n a l e ve l g r o u n d .
• ngage the parking rake.
• L o w e r t h e m a i n b r o o m w i t h t h e O n e - T o u ch p u sh - b u t t o n
( 5 2) .
• S t a r t b r o o m r o t a t i o n b y p r e ssi n g t h e O n e - T o u ch p u sh -
b u t t o n ( 5 2) a g a i n a n d h o l d i n g i t d o w n f o r 3 se co n d s.
• A f t e r 30 se co n d s o f b r o o m o p e r a t i o n ( vi si b l e o n t h e
d i sp l a y , a s p e r F i g u r e 7 ) , r a i se i t b y p r e ssi n g t h e O n e -
T o u ch p u sh - b u t t o n ( 5 2) .
• Check that the main room print (A, Fig. 8), along its
l e n g t h , i s 2 t o 4 cm w i d e .
f the print (A) is not within specifications, adust the main
b r o o m h e i g h t a cco r d i n g t o t h e f o l l o w i n g p r o ce d u r e .
2. Turn the kno (B, Fig. 9) as shown elow:
• To increase the print width, turn the kno counter-
clockwise.
• T o d e cr e a se t h e p r i n t w i d t h , l i f t t h e m a i n b r o o m w i t h t h e
ne-Touch push-utton (52) and then turn the kno
clockwise.
N O T E
The knob can be used both to adjust the print and to
adjust the broom according to the bristle wear.
3. Perform step 1 again to check that the main room is at the
co r r e ct d i st a n ce f r o m t h e g r o u n d .

b r o o m a s d e scr i b e d i n t h e n e xt p a r a g r a p h .
N O T E
If it is not possible to adjust the print (A, Fig. 8)
properly, because the pressure on the oor at the
ends of the broom is different, refer to the Service
Manual.
