■ Keys and connectors
The basic functions of the phone
keys are described below. More
information about keys is given
throughout this Owner’s guide.
The power key (on the right
side of the phone) switches the
phone on or off when pressed and
held. The scroll keys and
browse through the names and
phone numbers saved in the phone
book. The clear/exit key
deletes characters from the
display and exits from different
functions.
The function of the Nokia Navi™
key ( ) depends on the text
shown above it. In this Owner’s
guide, the symbol is followed
by the related guiding text, such as
(Menu) or (Select).
Your phone can be connected to
different compatible devices, and
it has several connectors and
special keys on its sides:
1. Connector for the black marked
HDD-2 headset cable
(headphones)
2. Connector for the charger
cable
3. Connector for the grey marked
HDD-2 headset cable
(microphone)
4. Internal microphone
5. Connector for the ADE-2 audio
line in cable
6. Connector for the DKE-2
connectivity cable for PC
connection
7. Radio key
8. Music player key
9. Volume down key
10. Volume up key
■ Display and standby
mode
The indicators described below are
shown when the phone is ready for
use, and you have not typed in any
characters. This screen is called
‘standby mode’.
