1. Remove the rear cover.

2. Remove the right cover.

3. Remove the FAX control board.

4. Disconnect the connector (CN1) [1]
from the MFP board.
5. Remove the harness [2] from two
wire saddles [1].
6. Remove two screws [1], and remove
the USB board [2].

• For MC160n, boot data is written to the MFP board and firmware data is
written to the FAX control board. To avoid any problem, be sure to replace both the
MFP board and FAX control board at one time.
1. Remove the rear cover.

2. Remove the right cover.

3. Disconnect the connector (P1) [1].
4. Disconnect two flat cables (P6, P7)
[2].
5. Unhook the tab [3], remove the har-
ness guide [4].
6. Remove four screws [1], and remove
the FAX control board [2].
NOTE
• When installing the FAX control
board, each of the screws indicated
by the arrows also fixes an earth
terminal.
