User authentication

Press Authenticated Printing.
With smart card authentication, users are
authenticated on the Ready screen when they
read their smart card with the card reader.
After successful authentication, the
Authenticated Printing screen in

is displayed.

Enter a PIN code or login name and
password and then press Log In.
The sent print job list is displayed in the
Condential documents print screen.
When User Verication for Print Auth is set to Use PC Login Name,
enter the login name you used to log in to the computer.
With the box for Print all condential
documents checked, the printer starts
printing all documents waiting for the user's
authentication as soon as he/she logs in.
The checkbox's default status is set to On or O
at the User Authentication Setting. For more

page 205.
You can read your smart card with the card reader to authenticate while
the PIN code input screen in step 4 or the login name/password input
screen is displayed.
