TROUBLESHOOTING
OPERATING PROBLEMS
The camera does not work.
1 The power is OFF.
[ Set the Mode dial to turn on the power. (P. 34)
2 The batteries are loaded incorrectly.
[ Reload the batteries correctly. (P. 24)
3 The batteries are exhausted.
[ Replace the batteries with new ones. (P. 24)
4 The batteries are temporarily unable to function.
[ Keep the batteries warm while using the camera.
No picture is taken when the Shutter release button is pressed.
1 The flash has not finished charging or the previous picture is being
written into the card.
[ Remove your finger from the Shutter release button and wait until
the Green lamp or the Orange lamp stops blinking. (P. 42/106)
2 There is no card in the camera or there is a problem with the card.
[ See the Error code chart. (P. 195)
3 The card is full.
[ Replace the card, delete unwanted pictures or transfer the data to
a computer and delete all of the pictures. (P. 28/98/101/134)
4 The batteries ran out.
[ Replace the batteries with new ones. (P. 24)
5 The battery power is low.
[ Replace the batteries with new ones. (Do not open the Battery
compartment cover when the Card access lamp is blinking.)

6 The buffer memory is full.
[ Wait until there is room in the buffer. (P. 44/108)
7 A write-protect adhesive seal is placed on the card or there is no card
in the camera.
[ Insert a new card in the camera. (P. 28)
8 The Mode dial is set to .
