Inserting the card
The following types of SD memory card (commercially available) can be used with this
camera: SD, SDHC, SDXC, and Eye-Fi.
Eye-Fi cards
Read “Usable cards” (P. 147) before use.

Open the card compartment cover.

Slide the card in until it is locked into place.
Shooting data will be recorded according to the
selected option for [K Save Settings] (P. 54).

Turn off the camera before loading or removing
the card.
Do not forcibly insert a damaged or deformed
card. Doing so may damage the card slot.

Close the card compartment cover.
Close it securely until you hear it click.
Be sure the card compartment cover is closed before using the
camera.

Cards must be formatted with this camera before rst use (P. 110).
If a UHS-II card is inserted into the slot 2 (UHS-I compatible), the card operates as
UHS-I.
Multiple Eye-Fi cards cannot be used at the same time.
Removing the card
Press the card in to eject it. Pull out the card.
Do not remove the battery or card while the card write indicator (P. 21)
is displayed.
