  If the endoscopic image is not displayed on the monitor of your Olympus Medical Equipment, foreign objects such as detergent remnants, hard water residue, finger grease, dust, and lint may be on the electrical contacts. Wipe the electrical contacts on the endoscope connector using clean lint-free cloths moistened with 70% ethyl or 70% isopropyl alcohol and completely dry them. After drying them, connect the endoscope to the light source.

What does it mean if the Olympus EVIS EXERA III examination lamp doesn't ignite and the emergency lamp indicator lights up?

  If the examination lamp does not ignite and the emergency lamp indicator lights up on your Olympus Medical Equipment, it could be due to the examination lamp not being installed, not installed correctly, or being broken. Install or reinstall the examination lamp, or replace it with a new one.

  If the field of view and image color are poor on your Olympus Medical Equipment, it could be because the emergency lamp is active, or a specific observation mode is set. Replace the examination lamp with a new one, and press the observation mode button to return to the normal observation mode.

  If the visual field and image color become red, green, or blue when using an OES fiber endoscope with your Olympus Medical Equipment, the brightness mode is likely set to “AUTO.” Set the brightness mode to “MANU”.

  If the examination lamp does not ignite automatically when the light source is turned ON for your Olympus Medical Equipment, the manual ignition mode is selected. Set the lamp ignition mode switch on the rear panel to “AUTO”.
