• Check the measured values before and after doing any measurements. (See "Measurement
value check” (page 115))
Spot ranging
The spot ranging function calculates the distance between the distal end of the
optical adapter and the subject. In live images move the distal end of the
insertion tube slowly because vibration makes it impossible to calculate
measurements.
1 Selecting the optical adapter
Before executing the object distance measurement, select the stereo optical
adapter to be used by referring to “Checking the stereo optical adapter” (page
105).
2 Executing object distance measurement
To perform the object distance measurement, display the live or frozen image to
be measured and tilt the [ZOOM] lever toward [W]. The object distance
measurement is displayed.
Tilt the [ZOOM] lever on the control unit towards [T] to exit the object distance
measurement function.
CAUTION
• Object distance measurement cannot be done when recording moving images.
