4.3 Expansion Mode
In "Expansion Mode", one CMC 430 test set works as "master unit", a second CMC 430 test set works
as a current amplifier for the "master unit". That second CMC 430 is the so-called "slave unit in
Expansion Mode".
The master unit is, as usual, connected to the computer either via USB, WiFi or Ethernet.
At the slave unit, link the ports PC and USB by means of the OMICRON-supplied USB cable.

Use any EXPANSION PORT 1 ... 4.
CMC 430 slave unit in Expansion Mode.
Use EXPANSION PORT 2.
To configure this setup in the Test Universe software, launch the Hardware Configuration from the
test module you are presently working with.
On the General tab, at Test Set(s) select a CMC 430 as test set.
In the drop-down list at Amplifier(s) / Low Level Outputs / Sensor Simulation you will find a
CMC 430 Current entry. Select that entry to operate the CMC 430 "slave unit" in Expansion Mode.
Click Configure... to set a current output configurations of your choice.
