messages
In
addition
to
the
messages
described
on
the
previous
page,
the
following
error
messages
may
also
be
displayed
on
the
programming
console
by
keying
in
Error
message
Description
An
address
exceeding
the
last
address
of
the
user
memory
has
been
set.
Set
a
different
address.
An
EPROM
chip
is
mounted
as
the
user
program.
Replace
the
EPROM
with
a
RAM
chip
and
then
perform
the
intended
write
operation.
Hexadecimal
data
has
been
input
as
a
constant
where
a
decimal
number
is
required.
Input
the
data
as
a
decimal
number.
Data
exceeding
the
input
range
is
input.
Check
the
limit
of
data
each
instruction
can
use
and
repeat
data
input.
There
is
an
abnormality
in
the
user
program
memory.
Check
whether
a
RAM
or
EPROM
chip
is
mounted
in
the
CPU
as
the
program
memory.
A
wrong
instruction
exists
in
the
user
program.
Check
and
correct
the
program.
After
the
corrective
action,
clear
the
error
message
(refer
to
step
7,
Testing
for
errors
in
Chapter
5).
A
failure
has
occurred
in
the
bus
connecting
the
CPU
and
expansion
I/O
unit.
Check
the
bus.
Also
check
the
expansion
I/O
unit
for
disconnection
before
power
application.
Check
whether
the
battery
is
correctly
installed
in
the
battery
socket.
The
service
life
of
the
battery
has
expired.
Replace
the
battery.
The
END
instruction
is
missing.
Write
END
instruction
at
end
of
program.
Clear
the
error
message
(refer
to
step
7,
Testing
for
errors
in
Chapter
5).
Program
exceeds
the
memory
capacity.
Check
the
program.
The
contents
of
the
cassette
tape
and
user
program
do
not
agree.
Check
the
contents
of
the
cassette
tape
and
user
program.
An
error
exists
in
the
cassette
tape.
Replace
the
tape
with
a
new
one.
