and
running
your
program
Input/output
monitor
In
our
sample
program,
the
timer
number
is
00.
Now
press
B
to
move
to
the
timer
data
display.
The
timer
currently
is
set
for
3.0
seconds.
To
change
this
to
6.0
seconds,
press
CHG
and
the
PC
display
will
query
you
about
the
new
data.
0008DATA
?
informs
you
that
the
operation
to
be
performed
is
the
setting
of
a
value
for
the
instruction
address
0008;
TOO
is
the
number
of
the
timer;
#0030
is
the
timer's
present
set
time;
and
#7???
asks
what
you
want
the
new
set
time
to
be.
In
response,
key
in
your
new
set
time
and
write
it
to
the
PC
memory.
|
Follow
the
same
procedure
to
change
the
set
value
of
a
counter.
While
the
PC
automatically
controls
the
equipment,
you
can
keep
a
watchful
eye
over
the
operation
using
the
PC's
monitoring
capabilities.
You
may,
for
instance,
have
a
particular
unit
of
equipment
that
you
want
to
check
for
correct
operation.
Or
you
may
want
to
keep
a
running
check
on
the
value
of
a
down
counter.
The
C20
allows
you
to
easily
check
the
status
of
any
device
connected
to
it
by
this
procedure:
Place
the
PC
in
the
MONITOR
mode
during
operation.
