Application
example
A
control
system
employing
I/O
link
units
is
shown
below.
This
system
controls
three
manufacturing
stages:
processing,
assembling,
and
coating
objects.
The
dual
role
of
the
!/O
link
units
is
to
transmit
a
specific
quantity
of
information
(such
as
stop
and
warning
signals)
and
to
interlock
equipment
and
stations
in
the
system.
If
a
warning
signal
is
generated
during
one
of
the
stages,
it
is
received
by
the
central contro!
panel
and
displayed.
The
control
panel
reacts
with
a
return
stop
signal
which
shuts
off
the
operation.
