SUGGESTIONS FOR PROPER USE
1) If used or installed improperly, the pellet stove could cause damage and maximum eciency is not ensured.
2) OPERA provides the user with all information regarding safe use of the stove in order to avoid injury or damage to property or
parts of the stove. With the delivery of the manual attached to the stove, OPERA declines all direct or indirect civil or penal liability,
owing to poor maintenance, total or partial failure to follow the instructions contained in the manual, use not in compliance
with the safety directives, installation not in compliance with regulations in force in the country where it is installed, installation
by unqualied and untrained sta, alterations and repairs that are not authorized by the manufacturer or the installation of non-
original replacement parts and exceptional events.
3) The installation, electrical connection, operating inspection and maintenance must only be performed by qualied personnel
or personnel authorized by OPERA.
4) During the initial lighting of the stove, it may give o odours due to paint or grease fumes. Avoid prolonged time in the room
and ventilate it to allow the paint and assembly materials to dry. To remove the odour, we recommend operating the stove at
maximum output for a few days (minimum 8 hours per day).
5) At every lighting, make sure the re pot is clean and without obstructions in the air holes, that it is empty of any pellet residue
and is properly seated. Regular maintenance and cleaning are indispensable for proper stove operation and to ensure long life.
6) If the stove does not light, before restarting you must remove any pellets in the re pot.
7) We strongly recommend the use of certied pellets (DIN 51731, ONORM M 7135 or in compliance with European Standard
EN14961-2). Do not allow the hopper to empty completely and be careful when loading pellets so that no sawdust is added.
The use of inferior quality pellets and those not in compliance with the manufacturer's instructions may not only damage the
appliance and compromise its performance but may also void the warranty and release the manufacturer from any liability. The
stove requires a limited amount of maintenance when using certied, quality pellets. Maintenance needs increase with the use
of inferior quality pellets.
8) Do not set ammable objects or those that are not heat resistant on the stove or within the minimum prescribed safety range
(see the instruction manual). Do not leave pellet residues on the stove. Also, if relling pellets while the stove is on, make sure
the bag does not come in contact with hot surfaces. Any noises, like ticking, are not a defect but a result of normal expansion of
materials subjected to thermal stress.
9) The glass must be cleaned when cold, using ammonia-based degreaser and without using abrasives. It is forbidden to open
the door of the rebox during operation or to operate the stove with broken glass.
10) Under no circumstances should the appliance be shut down abruptly or by unplugging the power cord. A cooling time that
varies from thirty to fty minutes is needed and is controlled automatically by the stove. Only turn o the button on the display.
Routine maintenance operations are to be considered required operations to be performed for proper and ecient operation
of the stove. If these operations are not performed at the required intervals, it may result in a decline in the performance of the
stove. The manufacturer is not responsible for a decline in eciency or stove malfunction resulting from poor maintenance. The
following is a summary of the inspection and/or maintenance operations that are indispensable for proper stove operation.
These operations must be performed with the stove o and cold and with the power cord unplugged.
