Condition Inspection
Component condition inspection is possible for CHIP_CAPACITOR and
CHIP_RESISTOR inspection types.
Availability and functionality of Condition inspectors are described in the table;
Inspection Type

chip.oxidcaps.hk
Checks for oxidation of the
component end caps
chip.typecheck.hk
Ensures the correct type is fitted
and that a Capacitor is not replaced
with a Resistor or vice-versa
CHIP_CAPACITOR
CHIP_RESISTOR
chip.solderball.hk
Checks around the component for
solder balls

hese Inspectors are not added as part of Set Default Inspections, and have
to be set up manually.
To set up a condition inspection;
• Select the component to be set up
• In the Property Editor click the Inspectors tab
• Right click the Inspectors tab and choose Add Inspector
• Double click the Undefined inspector and choose the required inspector
from the list
