Using Zoom
If you assign [Ex. Tele Conv.] to [Fn Button Set] in the [Custom] ([Operation]) menu, you can
display the Extra Tele Conversion setting screen for both pictures and motion pictures by pressing
the assigned function button. While this screen is displayed, you can change the [Picture Size]
setting by pressing [DISP.] button.
This function is not available in the following cases:
[Toy Effect], [Toy Pop] (Creative Control Mode)
When [Quality] is set to [
]
When recording 4K photos
When recording using [Post Focus]
When [HDR] is set to [ON]
When [Multi Exp.] is set
When [4K Live Cropping] is set
[Ex. Tele Conv.] ([Rec]) is not available in the following case.
[Handheld Night Shot] (Scene Guide Mode)
[Ex. Tele Conv.] ([Motion Picture]) is not available in the following case.
When using the HDMI output during recording (Except in Creative Video Mode)
[Digital Zoom]
Recording mode:
You can increase the zoom ratio up to 4x higher than the original zoom ratio.
Note that, with Digital Zoom, enlarging will decrease picture quality.
[Rec] / [Motion Picture] → [Digital Zoom]
Settings: [4x] / [2x] / [OFF]
When using [Digital Zoom], we recommend using a tripod and the self-timer (→140) for taking
pictures.
The AF area is largely displayed at the centre in the Digital Zoom range.
This function is not available in the following cases:
[Toy Effect], [Toy Pop], [Miniature Effect] (Creative Control Mode)
When recording using [Post Focus]
When [HDR] is set to [ON]
When [Multi Exp.] is set
When [Quality] is set to [
], [ ] or [ ]
