• Zoom In/Out Functions
eWhen you are zooming in on a faraway subject,
a sharper focus is achieved if the rooolding
subject is 4 feet (1.2 meters) or further from the
Camoorder.
• Tale*Macro Function
eThe Tale-Macro Function cannot be started
during rooording.
eWhen the [D.ZOOMj is set to [25X] or [700X],
the Told-Macro Function with a magnification
grouter than 10x is available.
• If ;_tsh;.trpor focus cannot be achieved, adjust
the focus manually.
In the following cases, the Tale=Macro
Function is cancelled.
• The zoom magnification becomes lower than
lOx.
• Setting the [OFFiON] Switch to IOFF].
• Zoom Microphone Function
• The Zoom Microphone Function may not work
effectively ifthe surrounding noise is too loud.
• It does not work with an external microphone.
• Digital Zoom Functions
• As the magnification of digital zoom increases,
the quality of image may deteriorate.
• White balance cannot be set in the digital zoom
range.
• Image Stabilizer Function
• The Im;.tgeStabilizer Function does not operate
in a dimly lit place. In this c;.Be, the [EIS]
Indicator flashes.
• Under fluorescent lighting, image brightness
may change or colors may not look catural.
• After-imagos may appear.
eWhen a tripod is used, it is recommended that
you turn the Image Stabilizer off.
eWithJn the digital zoom range, or when
recording with a conversion Ions {not supplied)
attached, the Image Stabilizer Function may not
work effectively.
• Bacldight Compensation Function
• When sorting the Iris manually, the Backitght
Compensation Function does not work.
• By operating the [OFF/ON l Switch, the
Backlight Compensation Function is cancelled.
• MagicPix Functions
• In :.tbright place, such ;_tsoutdoors, the
recorded picture may become whitish.
• In a dark place, the recorded picture is
presented in a time-lapse-like manner.
eAdjuct the Focus manually.
eThe Progressive Photcahot Function is
automatically turned off.
din the Card Recording Mode, using the
MagicPi× Functions is not possible.
•When using the MagJcPJx Functions, you can
not use the Built-in FI;_tsh.(PV-GS200 only)
• White Balance cannot bo sot.
•The shutter speed cannot be adjusted.
•The Image Stabilizer, Program AE or Digital
Effect Modes in [EFFECTt Jcannot bo sot.
•When recording with the M;.tgicPix Function, itis
recommended that you use a tripod.
eThe MagicPix Function makes the signal
cha_ing time of COD longer up to 30 times
longer than usual, so that the dark scenes that
are invisible to the naked eyes can be recorded
brightly. For this reason, bright dots may bo
seen, but this is not a malfunction.
•The Image Stabilizer Function does not work. In
this case, the IEIS] Indicator flashes.
•The Soft Skin Function and the Baoklight
Compensation Function cannot be changed.
• Wind Noise Reduction Function
It does not work with the microphone on the
M;.tgioWire Remote Control with N;.trr;.ttion MJc
(PV-GS200 only) nor an oxtercal microphone.
eWhen it is sot tO [ON[, diroctivily Of microphone
is regulated depending on the strength of wind
to reduce wind noise.
• Cinema Function
• Using the Cinema Mode does not widen the
recording anglo.
If you play b;.tok a tape recorded JnCinema
Mode on ;_twide-screen (16:9) format TV,
playback size is automatically adjusted to fit the
TV screenformat. Ple;.tserefer to the TV's
operating instructions for details.
•When images are displayed on a TV screen, the
Date/Time Indic;.ttion may be er;._sed in some
cases.
• Deponding on the TV, the picture quality may
be lower.
eCinema Mode is cancelled when a Title iS
displayed.
• Cinema Mode and theTitle Creation cannot be
used simultaneously.
• Using Cinema Mode dcactivates [MULTI] and
iF-IN-P] of [EFFECT1].
• Deponding on the software in use, the imported
Cinema picture may not be displayed correctly.
• Program AE
If ;.tny of the Progr;.tmAE Modes are selected,
you cannot adjust the shutter speed (-._z-)or iris
(-sz-),
eUsing the MagJcPix Function cancels any of the
Progr,tm AE modes.
Sports Mode
