Understanding the Button Functions
1 Power switch
Turns the camera on and off (p.41).
2 Shutter release button
Focuses the camera on the subject when pressed halfway in Still
Picture Capture Mode (except in 3 and s modes).
Takes a still picture when pressed down fully (p.63).
Starts and stops movie recording in C (Movie) mode (p.106).
3 Zoom button
Changes the captured area (p.73).
4 Q button
Switches to the Q mode (p.54).
5 I button
Switches the Face Detection function (p.67). The Face Detection function
