Taking Pictures
You can change the autofocus area (Focusing Area).

Press the 3 button in A mode.
The [A Rec.Mode] menu appears.

Use the four-way controller (23) to select [Focusing
Area].

Press the four-way controller (5).
A pull-down menu appears.

Use the four-way controller (23)
to change the Focusing Area
setting.

Press the 4 button.
The setting is saved.

Press the 3 button.
The camera returns to capture status.

Multiple Normal autofocus area

Spot The autofocus area becomes smaller.
W
Automatic Tracking AF Keeps moving subjects in focus.
•In C (Movie) and N (Frame Composite) modes, the Focusing Area
cannot be set to W.
•In 9 (Green) and b (Auto Picture) modes, the Focusing Area is fixed
at J.
