What to do if the furnace still contains a sample while trying to load a new one in PerkinElmer DSC 6000 Measuring Instruments?

If the furnace still contains a sample when trying to load a new one, it might be due to a failure in picking the sample out of the furnace. Check if the gripper fingers are bent. Another reason may be an incorrect horizontal baseplate adjustment, or an incorrect horizontal calibration. In this case, you should replace the gripper assembly or adjust the baseplate. It is also possible that the AS 8000 run was interrupted after putting a sample in the furnace and restarting; in that case, recalibrate the AS 8000.
