8.3 Instrument cleaning
The DA 7400 instrument is dust tight. Liquid protection is dependent on instrument model and
closing of protectors. The DA 7440 General purpose, GP model is ingress protected according
to IP code 65, IP67 with closed connectors. The DA 7400 Sanitary design, SD version is ingress
protected according to IP code 69K.
Measurement window is in normal operation kept clean with an air purge function. If needed can
the measurement window and the air purge be manually cleaned
1. Check if the measurement window needs cleaning. The measurement window shall be
clean from dust or oily smudge. If cleaning is needed, follow the steps below.
2. Remove the air purge by rotating it clockwise.
3. Dust can be removed from window using a lint-free tissue. Grease or oily smudges can be
removed using a lint-free tissue moistened with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. Do NOT
use tissues intended for cleaning eyeglasses. Eyeglass tissues may be impregnated with
silicones that will leave an invisible film on the surface of the Optics Module.
