Thread

The
stroke of the thread
check
spring must be completed when the point of
the
needie
reaches
the
materiai (abt. 7.0 mm stroke).
Special sewing operations may make Itnecessary to choose a longer or shorter stroke.

Loosen both screws 1 ofthread tension piate 2 just sufficiently to allowthe tension barrel
to be turned in this plate.
Turn tension barrel 3 until the stroke of the thread check spring amounts to abt.

Check this adjustment
(see
"Setting").
Loosen both screws 4 of thread regulator 5.
Push

thread
regulator
up
as
far
as
