Theory of Operation
The Efficia CM10, CM12, CM100, CM120 and CM150 patient monitors are indicated for
use by healthcare professionals whenever there is a need for monitoring the
physiological parameters of patients.The Efficia CM10, CM12, CM100, CM120 and
CM150 patient monitors are intended for monitoring, analysis, recording, and alarming
of multiple physiological parameters in healthcare environments. Additionally, the
monitors may be used in transport situations within a healthcare facility.The monitor is
powered from either the external AC input or its internal battery or batteries.
The Efficia monitors are available with 10-inch, 12-inch, and 15-inch screen sizes. Each
model has purchasable options available.

In addition to monitoring and displaying the status of physiological parameters, the
monitor performs various microprocessor-programmed analytical functions, including:
• Creating visual and audible alarm signals when alarm settings are violated
• Creating and displaying technical alarms when conditions are detected that
would degrade or prevent valid measurements
• Creating and displaying trend waveforms or tabular data
• Providing input to an optional recorder for printout of current or trend waveforms
or tabular data
