Measurement Modules
Speaker
The monitor is equipped with one or two speakers. The speaker is driven by an
amplifier and Audio CODEC that interfaces to the microprocessor. The speaker
provides the monitor’s audio during alarm conditions. The microprocessor outputs
different audio tones specified by different alarm priorities and conditions.
Note — The CM10 and CM12 models have one speaker. The CM100, CM120, and CM150
have two speakers.
Recorder
The recorder contains the following components:
• Digital thermal head array assembly
• Printing width
– 48 mm on 58 mm paper
– Resolution:
Time axis = 16 dots/mm at the speed of 25mm/sec, 8 dots/mm at 50
mm/sec
Voltage axis = 8 dots/mm
• Motor (paper drive) and driver circuitry
• Paper out/door open detector
• Selectable print speed
– 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50 mm/s
Print head control logic is implemented on the recorder board. The host
microprocessor sends data to the recorder through a local serial bus.
Wireless Module
The wireless module includes a radio board and an internal PCB antenna. The module
provides wireless connectivity for the monitor. The radio board interfaces with the
main board through a 60-pin connector. The antenna interfaces with the radio board
through a Hirose U.FL connector. The module supports all 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g
data rates and automatically adjusts data rates and operational modes based on
various environmental factors. It also supports MCS 0-7 rates for 802.11n.
Measurement Modules
The monitor includes the measurement modules described in this section, some of
which are optional.
NBP Module
The NBP assembly contain these elements:
• Pump
• Valves (2-valve system of dump and safety valve)
