Never twist, bend, fold, jam or pull on the optical fiber of the single use tip.
These actions will cause the tip to break.
Immediately stop the laser emission in the event of a broken tip and
change to an intact tip. Damaged tips may become hot.
Avoid touching any tissue with the metal cannula tip. Tips may become hot
during use.
Use caution when using the single use tip to prevent cross contamination.
Aim the hand piece and tip away from all personnel and yourself when not
preforming the procedure on the patient to avoid unintentional pokes or
sticks from the tip.
Operating personnel shall be aware of biologically active material entering
the environment during procedures. Always wear Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) such as a face shield, surgical masks, gowns with
sleeves and or sleeve covers and gloves during cutting and coagulation of
tissue to avoid the potential risk of infection.
Each single use tip is sterilized with ethylene oxide gas. The outer packaging of
each set of single use tips contains a label to indicate the sterilization procedure.
Do not us the single use tip if the gas sterilization packaging is damaged or
if the best before date has expired. Sterile conditions cannot be
guaranteed.
