5 FIBER AND HAND PIECE
5.1 Single Use Tips
Ensure no foreign objects such as dust, dirt or other debris does not enter the optical
fiber socket.
Ensure the connection socket is covered with the provided protection cap each time
the single use tip is disconnected from the laser device.
Ensure the optical system is clean before connecting the single use tip.
Note
The S3 medical diode laser device is not provided with hand piece and
TIPS.Users are required to purchase the hand piece and TIPS
separately.Before acquiring and use of fiber optics,please read carefully
and follow the company’s recommendations for fiber optic material,core
diameter,and transmission band.Use of recommended fiber optic material
may lead to abnormal laser output!
Fiber,hand piece and TIPS exposure to oral soft tissue may present
biological risks to the patient.It is advisable to purchase the products that
have passed Certificate of Conformity (CE) or Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) certification and reduce the biological risks that may
occur during the procedure.
Never touch the distal end of the optical fiber connectors with your finger or
other objects.
Single use tips are provided sterilized. Single use tips are disposable
products and shall not be re-used. Never reuse a single use tip as they can
pass contamination between patients and they can also damage the hand
piece. Never sterilize a single use tip again after usage. Re-sterilization
affects the characteristics of the single use tip; i.e. laser power output, form
and accuracy.
