The green dot on the label of the outer packaging provides an indication of the
completed sterilization procedure
To safeguard the sterility of the single use tips during storage, the following factors
shall be considered:
 Only store the sterilized tips in the original closed sterilized
packaging with the green dot
 Use a first in first out inventory method by referencing the best used
by date
 Protection form environmental contaminates
 Protection from mechanical stress
 Protection from direct solar and or UV radiation
 Protection from environmental fluctuations

5.2 Assembly of the hand piece
Never use single use tips past the expiration date. Discard expired single
use tips in a biohazard medical waste container.
Never re-sterilize a single use tip. Re-sterilization affects the characteristics
of the single use tip; i.e. the laser power output, its form and accuracy.
The use of optical fiber tips from other manufacturers may have other
physical properties such as load carrying capacity and transmission
behavior. PIOON assumes no liability for any damage caused by use of
other manufacturers single use tips. Use only PIOON single use optical
fiber tips.
Care should be taken to avoid any damage to the jacket when using
excessive turning force on the pressure nut. Only light pressure is required
to secure the fiber firmly in place.
