The assembly of the hand piece may be completed through the following steps:
A. Release the front and mid-ends respectively (Figure 5);
B. Put the fiber into the hand piece, adapter and tip;
C. Tighten the mid-end adapter;
D. Approximately 3–4 in (~7–10 cm) of fiber should protrude;
E. Strip and cleave fiber;
F. Adjust to desired length;
G. Tighten the front end adapter to secure the fiber.

5.3 Disconnecting the Fiber and Tip
A. Unscrew the pressure nut on the hand piece loosely. Twist first counter clockwise.
Do not remove it;
B. Gently pulling out the fiber through hand piece;
C. Remove the tip.
If the beam does not protect a circular pattern as portrayed above or the
beam pattern does not illuminate evenly, the single use tip may be
defective.Do not use damaged or defective single use tips.
