3. Inspect the flywheel for loose components, cracks or
other damage. Replace flywheel if any damage is
found.
Crankshaft One Way Gear / Drive Sprocket
Removal and Inspection
1. Remove the baffle plate.
2. Using the Slotted Nut Socket PA-49935, remove the
crankshaft slotted nut (C) and washer (B) from the
starter drive one-way gear assembly (A).
NOTE: Slotted nut is left-hand thread.
3. Remove the starter drive one-way gear assembly (A)
from the crankshaft.
4. Remove drive sprocket (D) and woodruff key from the
crankshaft.
