INSTALLATION
1. Install new seal
w
into crankcase. Thread the drive
bolt of special tool PU-52493
q
into the crankshaft.
IMPORTANT
The orientation of the seal is critical. Install the seal with
the flat side of the seal facing out as shown.
2. Tighten the drive bolt
e
until the cylinder
r
bottoms
out against the crankcase.
3. Once the seal is properly installed, loosen the drive
bolt
e
and remove special tool PU-52493 from the
crankshaft.
4. Refer to PVT Inner Cover Assembly page .
5. Test drive the vehicle and recheck for leaks before
putting back into service.
