GEARCASE INSTALLATION
1. Insert gearcase into the rear of the vehicle by sliding
the gearcase in and down.
2. Connect the gearcase breather hose to the gearcase.
3. Install the (4) rear gearcase mounting fasteners.
Torque to specification.
TORQUE
Rear Gearcase Mounting Fasteners
37 ft-lbs (50 N·m)
4. Slide propshaft back onto the transmission output
shaft, and then lift it up and align it with the mark on
the rear propshaft flange.
5. Install new bolts and torque to specification.
TORQUE
Rear Propshaft Bolts
22 ft-lbs (30 N·m)
6. Install both rear drive shafts to the gearcase.
7. Install the weld mount and weld mount fasteners.
