Engine Assembly -- All Engines
41. Place a new O--ring on the oil pump. Install oil pump on
flywheel cover. Torque to specification. Verify that oil
pump spade lines up with the drive slot in the flywheel
cover. Apply Loctitet 242 to oil pump mounting bolts.
42. Follow oil pump adjustment and bleeding as outlined in
chapter two, maintenance section.
43. Install starter. Apply Loctitet 242 to bolts and torque
to specification.
44. Apply a light film of grease to PTO end crankshaft
threads. Install new o ring and clean old grease from
coupler . Re--apply fresh grease to coupler splines.
Hand tighten drive coupler .
Oil Pump Bolt Torque
5ft.lbs. (7Nm)
Apply Loctitet 242 to Threads.
Starter Bolt Torque
9ft.lbs. (12Nm)
Apply Nyogelt to Threads.
