Carburetor Disassembly / Inspection -- Continued
9. Remove both check valves. The valves must lay flat
against the plate to seal properly. Replace if distorted
or bent. Replace gasket if torn or damaged.
10. With check valves, needle valve, and O--rings
removed, thoroughly inspect the carburetor casting for
debris and cracking. Clean all discharge ports.
11. Remove the accelerator pump cover .
NOTE: The cover is under spring tension. Support cover
during removal.
12. Inspect passage sealing O--ring and replace if worn or
damaged. The flat surface of the O--ring faces the
pump body, (away from cover).
