Fuel System Pressure Test
Install a 0--100 psi (0--690 kPa) gauge to the Schradert valve. Gauge should read 20--30 psi (138--207 kPa)
during diagnostic fuel pump test, cranking, and normal operation.
Fuel Injector Resistance
Measure resistance between both internal injector pins.
Ignition Coil Primary Resistance
Measure resistance between primary terminal and coil ground tab.
Ignition Coil Secondary Resistance
Measure resistance between secondary post and coil ground tab.
Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS)
Measure resistance between OR and BLK wires.
Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) -- 2002 Models
To test the TPS on 2002 DIt engines, connect a laptop to the EMM. Use the ENGINE MONITORING feature
under Service Utilities to verify operation and voltages.
Have an assistance slowly move the throttle flipper to WOT. Voltage at WOT should read approximately 4.70
Vdc.
NOTE: It is normal for Voltage readings to go O.L. while moving the throttle flipper.
