11 : 4.2. Bi-phase electric power
X Series amplier platforms can accept bi-phase AC
mains in the congurations 2P+E balanced two phase with-
out neutral (on bi-phase systems neutral connection is not
even necessary).
Power conductors must be secured to the
PC 5/5-STF1-7,62 ying plug as shown in FIGURE 11. Take
care to connect all the ve conductors to the ying plug as
shown in the pictures in order to guarantee the proper wire
section. Bridge the phase conductors at the connecting
terminals of the mains’ sectioning breaker.
11 : 4.3. Single-phase electric power
P+N+E, unbalanced single phase with neutral is the
usual conguration for signle-phase AC mains.
Power conductors must be secured to the
PC5/5-STF1-7,62 ying plug as shown in FIGURE 12. Take
care to connect all the ve conductors to the ying plug as
shown in the pictures in order to guarantee the proper wire
section. Bridge the phase conductors at the connecting
terminals of the mains’ sectioning breaker.
WARNING ABOUT GROUNDING
Connect the earth wire first when making
wire connection. Disconnect the earth wire
last when making wire disconnection.
11 : 4.4. AC MAINS plug and shell
Take care to properly lock each power cord wire to the
ying connector Phoenix PC 5/5-STF1-7,62.
Insert and lock the ying connector into the shell pro-
vided by Powersoft (ref. FIGURE 14).
The shell is meant for safe handling of the mains
power connector and must always be used.
Once properly assembled, take care to lock the mains
connector to the amplier plug: shock and vibration may
cause the unintentional disconnection of the AC main con-
nector if not properly secured to the device.
