f output 1+2+3 as the left three-way loudspeaker

Each way is driven independently: the crossover allows
to feed the transducers with the right signal bandwidth, lim-
iting as well as damping control can be congured for each
output signal (transducer), and nally you can create the
overall equalization of each single multi-way loudspeaker.

Proceeding backward to the input, the matrix allows to
manage signal routing and mixing suiting the actual loud-
speakers layout. In the example of FIGURE 43, speakers A,
B and C becomes the output channels of the matrix, where
you can properly mix and route the input signals.

The input selection stages add further degrees of
freedom in setting system performance with regards to the
venue and conguring the backup policy for signal redun-
dancy and safe operating.
